Range of platforms

NordFX supports MetaTrader 4 (MT4), a trading platform that rose to popularity through its support for trading robots. It also comes with a wide selection of charting tools and technical indicators.

It provides a streamlined user interface that could appeal to beginners. However, if you are new to trading, we'd encourage you to use the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform instead, available through FPMarkets.com, AvaTrade.com or FxPro.com. MT5 is much faster than MT4, and will allow you to access a wider range of markets.

Trading conditions

For beginners: its Fix account will allow you to trade on fixed, rather than variable, spreads with instant execution. If you are new to trading, you may find this easier. However, this account's spreads are wider than average.

For experienced traders: its Pro and Zero accounts will appeal to experienced traders looking for even tighter spreads. For example, you could trade EURUSD from 0.9 pips through its Pro account, and from 0 pips plus a US$3.5 commission per lot, per side, through its Zero account.

Copy trading

If you prefer to copy other traders, you may want to consider NordFX's copy trading service and PAMM account. You'll find a wealth of information about each provider's past performance and portfolio. However, you'll find very little information about their investment strategy and outlook.

Fund your NordFX account easily through crypto, VISA, Mastercard or an online wallet like Skrill or Neteller. Bank transfers are only possible from a handful of Asian countries like Indonesia or Malaysia. NordFX doesn't charge its customers for deposits. However, your bank or card provider may charge fees of its own. You should also expect to pay foreign exchange fees unless you fund your account in dollars, as NordFX trading accounts are denominated in USD.

Withdrawal fees apply across some, but not all withdrawal methods. They are around 4% for withdrawals to a credit card, and 3% for withdrawals to a NETELLER wallet.

NordFX is owned and operated by NFX Capital VU INC, a company incorporated on the island of Vanuatu in 2016. However, the NordFX brand has been in existence since 2008. No investor compensation scheme is available in Vanuatu should NordFX go bankrupt.

NordFX holds its clients' funds in segregated accounts, separate from the company's own funds. However, according to its client agreement, it "may hold the funds of different customers in the same account".

Last but not least, use little to no leverage, as NordFX won't cover your losses if you lose more than your deposit, according to its risk disclosure document. In other words, negative balance protection isn't offered.
